Eagles wrap up ACC season on Sunday afternoon
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's tennis team closed its ACC regular-season slate on Sunday with a 5-2 loss to No. 22 Florida State at the Flynn Recreation Complex.
After the Seminoles took the doubles point with wins on the Nos. 2 and 3 courts, the Eagles claimed their two wins on the No. 5 and No. 6 singles courts.
Kent Mukai took the win on the fifth court after FSU's Terrance Whitehurst retired after the players split the first two sets.
Kyle Childree then won in straight sets on the sixth court, taking a 7-5, 6-3 win over the Seminoles' Jake Albo.
Boston College (6-17, 0-12 ACC) next head to the ACC Championship this week in Cary, N.C. The Eagles will enter the tournament as the No. 13 seed, and will face No. 12 seed Louisville on Wednesday, April 20, at 1 p.m. at the Cary Tennis Park. | ACC Championship Info
