BC-FLORIDA STATE MEET IN FIRST ROUND OF ACC TOURNAMENT
• Boston College will take on Florida State in the first round of the 2016 New York Life ACC Tournament on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.
• The game will be televised by ESPN2 and the ACC Network, and can be heard on the radio on WEEI 850 AM and bceagles.com.
• Boston College lost all 18 of its conference games, most recently losing to Clemson on Saturday, 66-50.
• Florida State has won its last two games after losing the previous five. FSU defeated Syracuse on Saturday, 78-73.
• The Seminoles won the regular season meeting between the teams on January 26, 72-62.
BC IN THE ACC TOURNAMENT
• Boston College is 8-10 all-time in the ACC Tournament.
• BC has not advanced past the quarterfinal round since 2007.
• The Eagles reached the ACC Tournament championship game in their first season in the conference in 2006 and advanced to the semifinals the following year.
• The Eagles went 1-1 last year in Greensboro, beating Georgia Tech in the first round and then losing to North Carolina.
• This will be the first time that Boston College and Florida State will meet in the ACC Tournament.
• The Eagles had met Georgia Tech in the first round of the tournament in each of the last three seasons.
LAST TIME vs. FLORIDA STATE
• Graduate student Eli Carter registered team highs with 16 points and eight assists as Boston College lost to Florida State on January 26, 72-62.
• Freshman Jerome Robinson added 15 points, going 6-for-10 from the field.
• Eight of the 10 players that saw action scored points.
• The first half was tight the entire 20 minutes with six ties and five lead changes.
• Florida State scored the final five points of the half to take a 37-32 lead into the locker room.
• The Seminoles kept the run going, scoring the first eight points of the second half to build a 45-32 lead.
• FSU led, 52-43, but BC scored five straight to cut the deficit to 52-48 at the 8:41 mark.
• Florida State came right back with five of its own to push the lead back to nine points. It kept the lead the rest of the way.
