- Boston College (13-9, 1-8 ACC) is in the midst of a four-game skid. In the four games, BC has lost to No. 16/20 Miami by six points, Georgia Tech by six points, RV/RV Syracuse by one point and Wake Forest by six points.
- The Eagles lost to No. 16/20 Miami, 67-62, on Thursday night. BC was led by rookie center Mariella Fasoula with 18 points and six rebounds, while Kelly Hughes chipped in with 12 points. BC had 19 turnovers but out-rebounded Miami, 38-32.
- North Carolina arrives at Conte Forum after suffering a home loss to No. 13 Louisville, 78-60. The Tar Heels were led by Stephanie Watts with 16 points and seven rebounds. UNC is 12-12 overall and 2-7 in the ACC.
- UNC leads the overall series against Boston College, 11-1. The last time BC earned a win over the Tar Heels was on, Feb. 11, 2010 at Carmichael Arena. The Eagles were led by Carolyn Swords with 14 points and nine boards, while Kerri Shields pitched in with 13 points and Stefanie Murphy added nine points and 12 rebounds.
- In the first four ACC games of the 2016, BC has played four ranked teams - RV/RV Virginia Tech, No. 15/19 FSU, No. 3/3 Notre Dame and No. 19/22 Duke.
- Rookie Mariella Fasoula is second in the ACC and 25th in the country in field goal percentage (55.6). She is the highest scoring rookie in the ACC (13.8 ppg.). Fasoula earned Eagle of the Week honors last week after averaging over 19 points. She has notched double-figures in 15 games this season, including eight of the nine ACC games she has played in.

- Boston College lost to No. 16/20 Miami, 67-62, on Thursday night at Conte Forum. BC jumped out to a 10 point lead early in the first quarter. The Hurricanes press started to take its toll on the Eagles in the second quarter as Miami cut the lead to two-points at the half, 29-27.
- The Hurricanes and Eagles traded buckets for much of the third quarter. Led by five points from Motley, Miami then broke out on a 9-2 run capped by a three-point shot from Laura Cornelius with 1:41 remaining to help the team to a 47-40 advantage after three.
- Boston College cut the lead to one backed by an 8-2 run over the opening 3:26 of the quarter. However, Cornelius stopped the bleeding for the Hurricanes with a three-point shot with 6:07 remaining, sparking a 9-3 run that proved to be too much for the Eagles to overcome.
LAST THREE GAMES
- The Eagles are averaging 59.7 points per game while their opponents are average 63.7 points per game.
- BC is shooting 44 percent from the field while holding its opponents to just 35 percent.
- Turnovers continue to hurt the Eagles as they have 62, compared to just 43 by opponents in the three-game stint.
- On Feb. 7, 1998, Boston College snapped a four-game losing stream with a 70-67 victory over Georgetown at Conte Forum. The Eagles had three players score in double-figures – Cal Bouchard, 23 points; Aimee McGuire with 16 points and Whitney Steele pitched in with 14 points and six rebounds. BC led by one point at the half, 35-34. Alissa Murphy canned two free throws in the final seconds to secure the win.
