TURNING POINT
- Boston College rallied for three runs in the fifth inning to take the lead for good.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Red Storm jumped on Eagles starting pitcher Allyson Frei in the first inning, plating two runs. A Hannah Anderson double down the right field scored the first while a Krystal Puga single brought home the second.
- Boston College answered in the top of the fourth when Daulton doubled to right center, scoring sophomore Jordan Chimento. A fielding error on the very next at bat would allow Daulton to score from third.
- St. John's jumped in front again in the bottom of the fourth, as Yyvonne Rericha forced a walk with the bases loaded to give the Red Storm a 3-2 edge.
- The Eagles were quick to answer back in the very next inning, scoring three to take their first lead of the game. Freshman Loren DiEmmanuele stole third and ultimately scored after a throwing error. Sophomore Chloe Sharabba would late single down the left field line, plating senior Megan Cooley. A Chimento triple would then cap the inning's scoring, bringing Sharabba home.
- St. John's got one back in the bottom half of the fifth when a single from Monique Landini scored Christina Melendez.
