BC HIGHLIGHTS

Freshman Loren DiEmmanuele went 1-of-2 at the plate, scoring one run and stealing a pair of bases. She now has five stolen bases on the season and has reached base safely in all but one of the Eagles' 10 games.
Sophomore Annie Murphy had her second consecutive multi-hit game, going 2-of-3 with a double, one RBI and one run scored.
Sophomore Allyson Frei hurled 5.1 innings, allowing just three hits and two earned runs while striking out six.
The win snapped a six-game losing streak.

TURNING POINT

Boston College put up all three of their runs in the bottom of the third and held on for the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Eagles got on board in the bottom of the third when sophomore Chloe Sharabba reached on a throwing error, scoring DiEmmanuele from third. Murphy followed up with a double to right field, plating Sharabba. Murphy would later score off a wild pitch to cap the scoring.
Northwestern got one back in the fourth inning when Andrea Filler doubled to right, bringing home Krista Williams.
The Wildcats would add one more in the top of the sixth courtesy of a Sabrina Rabin solo homerun.
