Junior Tatiana Cortez went 1-of-1 at the plate, hitting a solo home run.

TURNING POINT

Auburn tallied two runs in both the second and third innings to take a 4-0 lead and never looked back.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Tigers got things started in the bottom of the second inning, tallying a pair. Whitney Jordan opened the scoring, coming home on a fielder's choice. Tiffany Howard would later single home Victoria Draper to give Auburn a 2-0 edge after two.
The bottom of the third brought in two more runs for the Tigers, as Jordan singled to bring home Madi Gipson. Courtney Shea would later plate Jenna Abbott via a sacrifice fly.
The Eagles would get one back in the top of the fourth when Cortez smacked a ball over the fences for a solo shot.
Auburn would answer back in the bottom half of the inning as a Emily Carosone double brought home Howard.
