BC HIGHLIGHTS

Sophomore Annie Murphy went 2-of-3 at the plate with a double and two RBI's. Her .346 batting average currently ranks second on the team.
Sophomore Jessica Dreswick pitched 5.2 innings of relief, allowing four hits, one run, walking two and striking out five. She now has a team-high 26 strikeouts through eight games.

TURNING POINT

Northwestern took the lead in the bottom of the third off an error and never looked back.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Eagles began the game on a positive note, plating three in the opening stanza. Freshman Loren DiEmmanuele scored on an illegal pitch. Couple batters later, Murphy smacked a two-run double to center field, bringing home sophomore Chloe Sharabba and senior Jessie Daulton.
The Wildcats would answer in the bottom half of the inning, as an Andrea Filler double scored Sabrina Rabin. Amy Letourneau would even things up later with a two-run homerun.
Northwestern added one more in the bottom of the third, as Anna Petersen singled to center field, with Brooke Marquez scoring off an error to give the Wildcats a 4-3 lead.
