HOW IT HAPPENED
- 1st, 18:02 | 1-0, BC GOAL (PPG) – The Eagles netted their 13th power-play goal of the season on their second attempt of the night to break the scoreless deadlock late in the first. The Eagles kept the puck in the zone as UConn attempted to clear and Makenna Newkirk got it along the near boards where she played Caitrin Lonergan down low. As the Eagles cycled, Andie Anastos came free in the slot and placed Lonergan's pass in the upper corner on UConn goaltender Andie Belanger's glove side.
- 2nd, 7:28 | 2-0, BC GOAL (PPG) – BC worked the puck along the blue line and Toni Ann Miano connected with Newkirk on the half boards. With traffic in front, Newkirk threw the puck into the slot where it kicked off Anastos and past Belanger for the 2-0 advantage.
- 2nd, 18:23 | 3-0, BC GOAL (PPG) – Anastos picked her third goal of the game and the Eagles' third on the man-advantage as the second period wound down. Anastos won the first faceoff after the call and played it to Makenna Newkirk inside, who took the space in the slot. Anastos came in on the left side and created enough space for Newkirk to play her in and then spanned a wrist shot off high for the 3-0 lead.
