Men Triumph over Bulldogs, Women Face Close Defeat

The Men's team earned their first victory of the season while the women lost by a mere two points against Bryant.

The Eagles hosted the Bryant University Bulldogs this weekend in their first dual meet of the season. For the women it was a fight to the finish, but in the end the Bulldogs triumphed 151-149. BC's men's team earned their first victory of the season, beating Bryant 170-116.

The women's 200 yd. medley relay of Ina Elcott '20, Taylor Covington '20, Victoria Lin '20 and Grace Kunkel '17 took first place with a time of 1:50.26.
In the 1000 yd. freestyle, Anthony Richardson '17 took first with a time of 9:58.97, followed by Arthur Hidalgo '19 in second place at 10:13.12 and Matthew Amedeo '20 in third at 10:17.58.
Josh Williams '17 took first place in the 100 yd. breaststroke with a time of 52.29, beating the second place finisher from Bryant by more than one second.
Kunkel, Julie Dobson '19, and Madeline Mailliard '17 took second, third and fourth in the 50 yd. freestyle coming in one right after another at 24.64, 25.08, and 25.95.
Freshman Jamie Doherty '20 came in second in the 200 yd. breaststroke, clocking in at 2:31.34.
