Eagles Soar at the New England Catholic Invite

The Men's and Women's Swim and Dive teams left the weekend with a pair of victories
Over the weekend, BC hosted the annual New England Catholic Invitational. The competing men's teams were BC, Saint Francis, Assumption, Providence, Holy Cross, Siena and Merrimack. Competing in the women's meet was BC, Providence and Holy Cross. After 2 long days of tough competition, both the men's and women's teams came out with tremendous victories. The Men beat second place finisher Saint Francis University 1,179.5 – 859, and the women beat second place finisher Providence 1,762 – 616.

Overall it was a terrific weekend for the Eagles. Coming up next is the first road meet of the season against Bridgewater State on Friday October 21st.

- The men's 200 yd. freestyle relay team of Colin Derdyn '19, Nicolas Junghahn '18, Maxwell Threlkeld '20 and John Mooers '18 took first place with a time of 1:26.87.
- Anthony Richardson '17 came in first place in the 500 yd. freestyle, clocking in at 4:44.98, followed closely by teammate Michael Hinton '20 at 4:52.41.
- Erika Freeman '19 took first in the 200 yd. IM with a time of 2:12.75.
- Grace Kunkel '17 grabbed second place in the 50 yd. freestyle with a time of 24.66, only .5 seconds behind the first place finisher from Saint Francis.
- Ina Elcott '20 and Hope Dragelin '19 took second and third in the 100 yd. backstroke, clocking in at 1:00.43 and 1:02.02.
