Eagles Announce 2015 Fall Schedule

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's lacrosse program will participate in six events across Massachusetts and the Northeast as part of their fall ball season, as announced by head coach Acacia Walker on Tuesday.
After kicking off the 2015 fall season with their annual Maroon/Gold Inter-squad scrimmage on Sunday, Sept. 20, the Maroon and Gold will participate in the Boston Beanpot, held at Harvard University Sept. 27. The six hour event will begin at 9:00 a.m. and feature play from several local collegiate teams.
After an off week, Boston College will be in action with two tournaments on Columbus Day Weekend. On Oct. 10, Coach Walker's squad will travel across the state for the UMass Play Day held on the University of Massachusetts campus in Amherst. The four team tournament will feature action against Stony Brook, Bryant and the host Minutewomen-all of who played in the NCAA Tournament last spring.
The next day, the Eagles will return to their home turf when they host the Boston College Tournament held at the Boston College Newton campus. Their opponents will include Boston University, Connecticut, Fairfield and Vermont. Opening draw for the first game is scheduled for 9 a.m. on October 11.
On Oct. 17, Boston College will travel to the University of Pennsylvania for the UPenn Play Day at Pennsylvania's Franklin Field in Philadelphia. They will face off against both Stanford and Pennsylvania.
The Eagles will then return home for their final game of the fall season when they host Dartmouth College in a scrimmage on the Newton campus lacrosse field on Wednesday, Oct. 21. Opening draw is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
Boston College will close out the fall season the weekend of Nov. 6-8 when they host both Alumni and Parent Weekend. The big fall event will be held Friday, Nov. 6 at the Boston College Club and all current families and alumni are invited to attend. More details will come as they become finalized.
In total, Boston College will play against six teams that qualified for the 2015 NCAA Tournament as they prepare for the upcoming 2016 season.
