As they prepare for their conference opener, on a shortened week no less, scheduled for Friday night at Alumni Stadium, Michael Vega of the Boston Globe talked to quartback Darius Wade about how he is driven to focus on his job as he makes his first ACC start of his career.

Boston College and Florida State will kick off on ESPN Friday night at 8 p.m. Many events are planned for the evening, including the annual Red Bandana game, to honor former Boston College lacrosse player Welles Crowther.
