Willis Named to Paul Hornung Watch List

Chestnut Hill, Mass. – Boston College junior Myles Willis was named to the preseason watch list for the 2015 Paul Hornung Award Watch presented by Texas Roadhouse on Monday. It is the second straight year Willis graced the list.
The Louisville Sports Commission and Paul Hornung present the award to the most versatile player in college football.
A running back and kick return specialist, Willis is currently fourth on BC's all-time list with 1,548 return yards and seventh with 64 total returns. In 2014, he led the Eagles with 1,372 all-purpose yards, averaging 105.5 yards per game. The Conyers, Ga., native rushed for 459 yards on 88 attempts, scoring two touchdowns and returned 34 kickoffs for 895 yards. His 26.3 yards per returns was third-best in the Atlantic Coast Conference and he was one of three ACC players to record a kickoff return for a touchdown, scoring on a 95-yard run against Syracuse. He led the conference in returns yards and ranked second in BC's single-season record books.
In 2013, Willis rushed for 346 yards, scoring two touchdowns, caught five passes for 60 yards and one touchdown, and returned 30 kicks for 709 yards. He returned a kick a career-long 98 yards for a touchdown at New Mexico State in the Eagles' victory.
