Five Named to HEA All-Academic Team

WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Departed senior Michael Sit became the seventh Hockey East Distinguished Scholar in program history while Alex Joyce, Ian McCoshen, Peter McMullen and Scott Savage all represented the Boston College men's hockey program on the 133-man 2014-15 Hockey East All-Academic Team. All five Eagles achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or better in each of the two academic periods during which he was actively competing.
Sit's Distinguished Honor status represents earning at least a 3.0 grade point over each of his four varsity seasons. The Edina, Minn., native was one of eight Hockey East recipients of the award this past season.
McMullen is Boston College's only other repeat winner while Joyce, McCoshen and Savage all made the Hockey East All-Academic Team for their first times.
