- Boston College scored the last five points of the half to cut its deficit to 41-25.
- The Eagles then scored the first four points of the second half to make it a 41-29 lead, the closest BC had been since there were 13 minutes left in the first half.
- Notre Dame held a 63-49 lead with 4:19 remaining.
- Hanlan then scored the next 12 BC points by connecting on four 3-pointers to bring the deficit down to 67-61 with 1:47 left, but that is as close as the Eagles would get.
