TURNING POINT
- The Eagles gained a two-goal lead, their largest margin of the day, to deflate the Orange when Margolis scored her fourth goal with just over a minute to play.
- SU's Riley Donahue responded with a goal in the final minute, but Syracuse could not overcome the Eagles as time expired.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Syracuse jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first two minutes, putting the Eagles in a hole early
- Boston College responded with three unanswered goals (Sarah Mannelly – 2, Caroline Margolis – 1) to even the game at three goals apiece
- The Eagles and the Orange entered half time knotted up at 5-5
- In the second half, the teams traded goals until Stanwick and Margolis scored back-to-back to make it 10-8, BC, as the clock ran out to gain an edge on SU
