SERIES HISTORY
- This will be the 49th meeting between the Eagles and the Orange
- Syracuse leads the all-time series, 29-19, and is 13-6 at home
- The last time the Eagles won in the Carrier Dome was in 1999 in a one-point victory on Oct. 30, as John Matich hit a 34-yard field goal with 2:57 to play in the game and Frank Chamberlain made a game-saving tackle one yard shy on a fourth-and-14 conversion with just over a minute to play to seal the BC victory
- BC is 7-2 when the game has been decided by seven points or less
- This will be the third meeting that both teams are members of the ACC as Cuse joined in 2013; each team has won the home contest
- Junior RB Tyler Rouse hails from Baldwinsville, N.Y., less than 20 minutes from the SU campus
- In his two games against his hometown team, Rouse has rushed for 113 yards on 15 carries and scored two touchdowns (one in each game), including a 42-yard score in last year's win
