Carpenter, Daniels Named Eagles of the Week

Pair honored for performances last week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior forward Alex Carpenter (women's hockey) and senior linebacker Steven Daniels (football) have been named Eagles of the Week.
Carpenter helped the No. 2 Eagles sweep their two-game series against Minnesota Duluth with four goals over the weekend. She had a power-play goal on Friday night and then followed that with a hat trick on Saturday, including the game-winning goal, in the team's 4-2 win. Carpenter was also named Hockey East Co-Player of the Week.
Daniels recorded a career-high 12 tackles to lead both teams in Boston College's 9-7 loss to Duke on Saturday. He recorded seven solo stops, a sack and 2.5 tackles for a loss. Daniels, who leads BC with 30 tackles on the season, helped the Eagles hold the Blue Devils without a touchdown and without a score in the second half.
Women's hockey (2-0-0) will host St. Lawrence on Sunday and Monday at 1 p.m. in Conte Forum. Football (3-2, 0-2 ACC) will host Wake Forest at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Alumni Stadium.
