"I thought our team did a nice job of staying focused through the whole game. Connecticut is a very physical team and we played well through that. It was a nice weekend for us, coming out with four league points as we head into two tough games against Boston University next."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- 2nd, 4:42 // 1-0 BC GOAL: Kenzie Kent cycled the puck up to Kali Flanagan, who fed Megan Keller across the blue line for an open one-timer, which was re-directed in front.
- 2nd, 19:47 // 2-0 BC GOAL (PPG): The Eagles kept the puck moving on the power play and Kali Flanagan and Megan Keller again were involved in generating the goal. Flanagan played Keller at the other point and her shot was re-directed in by Haley Skarupa down low for the 2-0 lead
- 3rd, 3:20 // 3-0 BC GOAL (PPG): Once again on the power play, Keller played the puck down to Alex Carpenter along the wall by the faceoff circle. Carpenter's shot was put in by Kenzie Kent, who re-directed the puck past Elaine Chuli while screening her.
- 3rd, 10:37 // 4-0 BC GOAL: The second line of Kristyn Capizzano, Dana Trivigno and Haley Skarupa were battling along the boards for a loose puck. Capizzano popped out of the scrum with it and found Skarupa low. Skarupa played it back to the point, which Flanagan ripped a low shot that beat Elaine Chuli after a deflection off a UConn skater.
