CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's soccer team, ranked 19th in the latest Soccer America poll, travels to Louisville Friday night for an ACC matchup at Cardinal Park Stadium.
The Eagles are 5-1-1 in their last seven matches, including a 2-1 win against No. 10 Virginia last week. Head Coach Ed Kelly is looking for his 300th career win and would be the 19th active head coach in the country to reach that number. He would also become just the third in the ACC with 300 wins.
BC (8-3-1, 3-2-0) is third in the ACC Atlantic Division with nine points. Wake Forest leads the division with 11 points while Clemson has 10. Louisville (5-5-3, 0-2-3) is the only team in the Atlantic without a conference win. The Cardinals beat Connecticut on Tuesday night, 2-1.
This will be just the second meeting between the two programs all-time. Louisville won last year's match in Newton, 3-2, in overtime.
