Hilliman, Stiekema Named Eagles of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Freshman running back Jon Hilliman (football) and junior midfielder Romée Stiekema (field hockey) have been named Eagles of the Week.
For the second straight week, Hilliman scored two touchdowns as the Eagles defeated Maine, 40-10. Hilliman recorded season highs with 21 carries and 98 yards. He was the first BC freshman to rush for two touchdowns in the upset victory over USC since Montel Harris completed the feat in 2008, scoring three vs. Rhode Island. Hilliman is second on the team with 241 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
Stiekema scored the game-winning overtime goal in a 3-2 win at No. 4 Syracuse on Saturday to lead BC to its second victory over a top-10 opponent last week. She also record assists against the Orange and in a 6-3 win over Colgate the following day.
Football (3-1, 0-1 ACC) hosts Colorado State on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Alumni Stadium. No. 6 field hockey (7-1, 1-0 ACC) hosts No. 1 North Carolina on Friday and New Hampshire on Sunday with both games starting at 4 p.m.
