Gorman, Mannelly Named Eagles of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Junior John Gorman (baseball) and sophomore Sarah Mannelly (lacrosse) have been named Eagles of the Week for their performances last week.
Gorman allowed just two hits and two walks over six innings while striking out four in the 2-1 win over Wake Forest on Friday. He allowed just one run to in BC's walk-off win but did not receive a decision. Gorman leads the pitching staff with 25 strikeouts and 33.2 innings pitched, and he has only allowed five walks in six starts this season.
Mannelly led the Eagles with five points against No. 1 North Carolina with four goals and an assist. She also corralled a game-high three ground balls on the day. Mannelly leads the team in caused turnovers (9). She also ranks second on the team in goals (19) and third in points (25)
Baseball (7-14, 1-8 ACC) hosts No. 1 Florida State this weekend for a three-game series. No. 5 lacrosse (7-2, 1-2 ACC) faces Harvard and Maryland on the road this week.
