BC HIGHLIGHTS
Sophomore Olivier Hanlan recorded a team-high 20 points and dished out three assists.
Junior Lonnie Jackson scored 10 points while adding three assists and two rebounds.
Jackson hit all four of his free throws down the stretch in OT to seal the win.
Junior Ryan Anderson grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds to go with nine points, four assists, two blocks, and a steal.
Sophomore Joe Rahon registered nine points, four rebounds, and two assists.
Junior Patrick Heckmann scored nine points along with four rebounds and two assists.
Junior Eddie Odio notched five points and grabbed eight boards.
TURNING POINT
Boston College went on a 29-12 run in the second half to take a 46-42 lead at the 6:12 mark.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Boston College started the game on a 7-2 run, but Syracuse recovered to take an 8-7 lead.
The Orange did not score a field goal for the first 5:42, but went on a 14-4 run to build a 16-11 lead.
BC pulled to within a point, 18-17, but Syracuse closed the half by scoring the last seven points to take a 25-17 lead into the locker room.
Syracuse scored the first five points of the second to make it 12 unanswered points which stretched the lead to 30-17.
BC responded with a 29-12 run to take a 46-42 lead at the 6:12 mark.
Hanlan hit a layup with 47 seconds left to force the overtime.
Hanlan connected on a 3-pointer to give BC a 53-50 edge with 4:33 left in OT.
C.J. Fair hit a jumper, but Heckmann responded with a trey to give the Eagles a 56-52 lead with 2:55 to play.
Ennis hit a layup to tie the game at 56 with 2:12 to go.
A layup by Heckmann gave the Eagles a one-point lead, 58-57, with 44 seconds left.
Junior Lonnie Jackson hit all four of his free throw attempts down the stretch to seal the win.

Syracuse had 17 points off turnovers in the first half but only two in the second half.
The Orange led by as much as 13 in the second half but BC fought back to seal the upset.
It was the first time BC beat a No. 1 team since North Carolina in 2009.
