BC HIGHLIGHTS

Junior Patrick Heckmann scored a game-high 15 points which was a season high. He had 13 points in the first half and contributed four rebounds.

Sophomore Olivier Hanlan recorded 11 points and six rebounds.

TURNING POINT
Miami scored seven unanswered points early in the second half to extend its lead to 41-28 with 14:08 left. BC was never within eight points after that.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Miami started the game on a 14-6 run, but Boston College responded with an 11-4 run over the next 5:17 to cut the deficit to one. Heckmann hit a pair of 3-pointers in that span.

The Hurricanes recovered with a quick 7-2 spurt that built the lead back to 27-19. They took a 27-22 lead into the half.

Miami scored seven unanswered points early in the second half to extend its lead to 41-28 with 14:08 left.

BC couldn't get closer than eight points the rest of the way.
