- Boston College opened the game on a 17-8 run over the first 5:35. Brown hit a couple of 3-pointers in that span.
- Maine cut the lead to six points three times, including at 25-19, with 8:23 left in the half.
- From there, the Eagles went on a 13-4 run to build a 38-23 with 3:42 on the clock.
- The Black Bears trimmed the lead down to eight points before the half, 42-34.
- Maine cut its deficit to 59-53 with the help of a 9-2 run, but BC responded with a 7-2 run of its own to push the lead back to 66-55 with 8:57 left.
- The Black Bears scored six unanswered points a couple of minutes later to cut the deficit down to 73-68, but BC scored the next five points to pull away for good.
