HOW IT HAPPENED
- Boston College started the game with a 7-2 run over the first three minutes. Batten hit a 3-pointer in the run.
- Binghamton cut the lead to 8-7, but BC scored 10 unanswered points to build an 18-7 lead with 12:26 left in the half. The run was capped by an alley-oop to sophomore Garland Owens from Brown after a Lonnie Jackson steal.
- The Eagles took a 32-18 lead into the locker room.
- The Boston College lead reached as many as 19 points twice, the latest at 49-30 with 11:10 left to play.
- The lead remained in double digits the rest of the way.
