- A 13-5 BC run over a four-minute span gave the Eagles the largest lead of the half, 37-29, with 4:42 left.
- The Trojans closed the gap before the half ended as BC took a 41-37 lead into the locker room.
- USC scored eight unanswered points over 4:09 in the second half to take a 55-48 lead with 12:10 remaining. Four different Trojans scored in that span.
- The Eagles responded with a 7-1 spurt that pulled them within a point, 56-55. Hanlan scored five of the points.
- USC pushed the lead back to seven as they scored the next six points to make it 62-55 with 5:22 left.
- BC pulled within three points four different times, but could not catch up again.
