Hannah Angel Named Assistant Softball Coach

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Hannah Angel has been named assistant softball coach at Boston College, according to an announcement made by head coach Ashley Obrest.
Angel fills the vacancy left by former assistant coach Shayne Lotito, who was recently named the head coach at Bryant University.
Angel arrives at the Heights after serving as an assistant coach at Brown University last season. Prior to her stint with the Bears, Angel was the head coach at Emmanuel College. She started her coaching career as an assistant at Simmons College in 2009.
A native of East Bend, North Carolina, Angel graduated from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro in 2009 with a degree in history and sociology. She was a pitcher on the softball team and ranked third all-time in strikeouts and was a member of the 2008 Southern Conference All-Tournament team.
