Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College right-hander and infielder Michael Strem garnered WCAL First-Team All-League honors in 2012 and 2013. He captained a St. Francis team that won the Division 1 Central Coast Section (CCS) title and finished as the ranked No. 1 in Northern California, No. 2 in the state of California and was nationally ranked between fifth and 14th in major polls. As a senior, he earned WCAL and CSS Player of the Year Awards, the Bay Area Player of the Year Award, Mercury News First-Team and Player of the Year Award, Louisville Slugger 2013 High School All-American Second-Team honors, MaxPrep California Large School All-American honors, CalHiSports First-Team All-California, MaxPrep Baseball All-American Second-Team honors, named to the Rawlings Gold Glove Team and was named a finalist for CalHiSports Baseball Player of the Year.
