(May 30, 2009) Left-handed hurler Mike Belfiore threw 9.2 innings of scoreless relief in Boston College's 3-2 loss to Texas in the 2009 Division I Baseball Tournament in Austin, Texas. Belfiore struck out 11 batters and did not give up a walk. The marathon contest lasted an NCAA-record 25 innings and came to a close after 7 hours and three minutes.
