XC Teams Take 2nd at Dartmouth

Hanover, N.H. - The Boston College cross country teams both took second placed at the Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday. The women scored 58 points behind Madeline Wallace's seventh place finish and the men, led by Louis Serafini's 10th place showing, totaled 64 points.
Dartmouth won both team events on the heels of individual winners Abby D'Agostino (16:50) and Ethan Shaw (22:00).
Heavy rains over the past few weeks caused parts of the course to flood and forced Dartmouth to alter the course. The women's was shortened to 4.67 kilometers (2.9 miles) and the men's was changed to 7.24 km (4.5 miles).
Heather Garcia followed Wallace in 12th place at 17:42, with Danielle Winslow (17:44), Moira Kenny (17:49) and Kathy O'Keefe (17:53) rounding out BC's tally.
Following Serafini's 22:48, the Eagles relied on Jordan Hamm (23:03), Anthony Bellitti (23:12), James Glover (23:24) and Jack Linehan (23:39) to complete the scorecard.
The Boston College men's team will return next week at the Br. Doyle Meet of Champions at Van Cortlandt Park, while the women head to Totman Field for the UMass Invitational in Amherst, Mass.
