The Wolfpack used six runs in the first two innings to build an insurmountable lead. In the top of the first, Riggins took the first pitch he saw to the gap in left for a two-run double after a walk and a hit batsman. After the first out was recorded, two more walks loaded the bases. Tarran Senay forced a run home with a bases loaded walk in the sixth to push the Pack lead to 7-0 before BC got on the board in the bottom half with two runs. Hamlet hit a one-out single and McGovern was hit by a pitch to put a pair a pair on base. Smith hit an RBI single past the diving shortstop and after a fly out to the wall in right, Perdios knocked in McGovern with another single.
The Wolfpack pushed the lead to 8-2 with a run in the seventh. Gianis was hit by a pitch to lead off and was sacrificed into scoring position. A two-out infield single moved him over to third and then a wild pitch scored him.
