Baseball Lands Three on All-ACC Teams

The three selections are tied for third most in a single season
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Â Boston College Baseball earned league recognition on Monday afternoon, with three Eagles named to all-conference teams. The three selections mark the most in a single season since 2023 and tied for the third most in program history.Â
A.J. Colarusso and Nick Wang were both named to the Third Team, while Luke Gallo was named to the Freshman Team.Â
Colarusso was named to the Third Team after putting together a senior season full of career highs. He finished the regular season with a 5-3 record in 71 innings pitched with a 4.18 ERA and 66 strikeouts. The five wins, 4.18 ERA, and 66 strikeouts are all career highs. Colarusso set the program record this year for career starts after his 44th start against Duke on April 17th.Â
Wang earned third-team honors after putting together a career year. He hit .317 with 12 extra-base hits while hitting a career-high 16 home runs with a career-high 61 RBI during the regular season. His 16 home runs are tied for the sixth most in a single season, which puts him at 40 for his career, which is the third most in program history. His 61 RBI so far are tied for the sixth most in a single season. He is now up to 161 RBI in his career, which is the second most in program history.Â
Gallo earned a freshman team spot after putting together a dominant rookie campaign. Gallo, who did not start the season as the Eagles' primary third baseman, made his debut on February 20th against Cornell before starting against FIU two weeks later. He then made 42 consecutive starts at third base. Gallo finishes the regular season second in batting average and on-base percentage, fifth in hits, sixth in extra-base hits, and the team leader in sacrifice bunts. He ranks 4th in the ACC among freshmen in batting average, third in steals, and second in sacrifice bunts.Â
The Eagles earned the double bye and fourth seed in this week's ACC tournament. They will begin play at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21st, at Truist Field in Charlotte, North Carolina.
