DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Daytona International Speedway hosted the Boston College baseball team Monday for a once-in-a-lifetime private tour.
The entire team took a private tram tour that began by going around turn four and then to turn three. The team was able to walk up the 31-degree embankment on turn three for photos.
The tour then went around Lake Lloyd, a 29-acre lake situated in the middle of the infield. From there, the team was able to go into the press box to get a glimpse of the entire speedway, which holds more than 167,000 fans.
The last stop of the tour allowed the Eagles to take a picture with the winning car of the 2011 Daytona 500. Trevor Bayne won this year's race a day after his 20th birthday to become the youngest Daytona 500 winner in history.
BC is back on the diamond Tuesday night when it faces Bethune-Cookman at 6 p.m.
