Junior Morgan Kidd (1-4) took the loss in the second game, allowing seven runs, lasting 2.2 innings, striking out one and walking 10.

In game one, the Hokies jumped out to a five run lead in the first. A lead-off walk and sac bunt put R. McGarva on second. D. Anderson doubled to center, scoring McGarva, and took third on K. Froehlich's single to left. A walk from B. Rose loaded the bases, before A. Ward singled up the middle to add another run. A ground out to second enabled Froehlich to score and two more runs came in on an error at first to end the scoring, 5-0.
Virginia Tech scored twice in the second to stretch its lead, 7-0. McGarva led off with a single and was advanced to second on a walk from K. Banks. Froehlich's single to center plated McGarva and left runners on the corners. Rose would bring in Banks on a sac fly to center for the Hokies' second run.
Speer's fourth home run of the year put BC on the scoreboard, 7-1, in the fourth.
A pair of doubles gave Virginia Tech another run in the bottom of the fifth, 8-1.
In the sixth, an Eagles' fielding error put the game-ending run on first, which was brought around on a fielder's choice and double to left.
In game two, BC scored one run in the first. Junior Brittany Wilkins drew a two-out walk and advanced to third on a single from freshman Speer and a hit-by-pitch from Ypparila. Junior Alison Kooistra drove in Wilkins with a single up the middle.
Virginia Tech answered with two runs in the bottom half of the inning. Three consecutive walks loaded the bases for Froehlich to plate a run on a single down the left field line and Rose to bring in another on a sac fly to left.
The Eagles tallied five runs to take the lead in the second. Sophomore Maria Pandolfo tripled down the right field line and sophomore Nicole D'Argento reached on a fielder's choice to put runners on the corners. A wild pitch advanced the runners, with Pandolfo evening the game, 2-2. A pair of walks loaded the bases for Ypparila, who launched a grand slam to left center to put the Eagles on top, 6-2.
In the bottom half of the second, the Hokies drew a fourth consecutive walk on a 3-2 count to score a run.
Virginia Tech added four runs in the third. Three walks loaded the bases for R. McGarva to bring in the first run with a sac fly to center. Banks then homered to left to put the Hokies up, 7-6.
Two home runs extended Virginia Tech's lead, 11-6, in the fifth. An error allowed McGarva to reach base and Banks followed with a double to left. Anderson then belted a three-run shot to left and two batters later Rose added a solo shot for the Hokies fourth run of the inning.
Speer delivered two runs with her second homer of day, narrowing the gap to three, 11-8, in the sixth.
D'Argento's sixth home run of the year brought the Eagles within one, 11-10, but the comeback was cut short.
The Eagles will conclude the series with the Hokies at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 27.
