The Boston college football team stepped up the intensity in the third day of preseason camp, wearing shells and shorts for the first time.
The wide receivers were the most boisterous group while making their way onto Shea Field. Ifeanyi Momah and Colin Larmond, Jr. led the cheers, with Larmond repeatedly shouting, "Oh yeah," in anticipation of the session.
Senior LB Mark Herzlich was held out again but was on the field today. He sported a green top over his maroon jersey and did not wear shells.
A number of New Orleans Saints personnel were in attendance as they are in town to play the New England Patriots on Thursday in the preseason opener for both teams. The Saints, the defending Super Bowl champions, drafted former Eagle center Matt Tennant in the fifth round of the last NFL Draft.
Another former Eagle, Jo-Lonn Dunbar, is entering his third season with the New Orleans organization. He has started five games at strong side linebacker in his career, recording 23 tackles and two passes defended. A valuable member of the special teams as well, he has accumulated 40 NFL tackles in his career after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent.
