The Boston College softball team dropped a pair of hard-fought ACC games to NC State on Friday afternoon by the scores of 3-2 and 7-0 at Dail Stadium in Raleigh, N.C.
The losses drop Boston College to 9-16 (0-5 ACC) for the season, while the wins improve NC State to 22-15 (5-3 ACC) on the year.

NC State - 3, Boston College - 2
In game one, the Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning by playing a little small ball. Brittany Wilkins led off the game getting hit by a pitch. Wilkins then moved to second base after a Maria Pandolfo sacrifice, and later scored in the inning off a wild pitch.
The lead didn't last long for the Eagles as NC State tied the score at 1-1 in the bottom of the second inning with a solo homerun off BC starting pitcher freshman Nicole D'Argento (3-5).
NC State extended its lead in the bottom of the fifth inning with two runs on three hits and an error to make the score 3-1.
Boston College cut the Wolfpack lead down to one run thanks to another home run by Renee Ramos who now has six round trippers on the season.
The Eagles had a chance to tie it in the top of the seventh inning as they had a runner on second base with one out but Wilkins and Pandolfo both struck out to end the game.
D'Argento pitched her fourth complete game of the season giving up only three runs (two earned), on five hits, while striking out five.
NC State - 7, Boston College - 0
In game two, NC State opened the scoring in the bottom of the third inning scoring two runs on three hits off of Allison Gage (2-3).
The score would stay 2-0 until the bottom of the sixth inning when the Wolfpack blew the game open scoring five runs in the frame to put the game out of reach for the Eagles.
Lizzy Ploen had two of Boston College's four hits in the game.
The Eagles are now 1-12 this season when they have five hits or less in a game.
Boston College wraps up its three game series against NC State tomorrow afternoon. The game starts at 12 p.m.
