Dennhardt Named ACC Pitcher of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Sophomore RHP Mike Dennhardt has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week, announced Monday by the conference office.
Dennhardt threw a complete game shutout in a 4-0 win against Maryland on Saturday in the first game of a doubleheader. It was the first complete game of his career.
The Oradell, N.J. product was dominant on the mound, scattering six hits and striking out five while walking two. He threw 108 pitches on the day and 76 of them were strikes.
Dennhardt finished the game as strong as he started it, retiring 12 of the last 13 batters - including 10 in a row - from the sixth to ninth innings.
Dennhardt and the Eagles host Massachusetts on Tuesday at 3 p.m. and face Harvard at Campanelli Stadium in Brockton on Wednesday. BC then hosts Wake Forest for a three-game ACC series beginning Friday.
