Baseball falls to Fighting Irish in game one of the series

Luke Gallo went 2-3 at the plate with one double and an RBI. Carter Hendrickson and Gunnar Johnson also both hit one double.

BC opened the scoring in the second inning when Johnson hit a double to center field to score Gallo all the way from first base.
Â
That lead held until the fifth, when the Fighting Irish scored 10 runs in the bottom half of the inning to take a 10-1 lead.

The Eagles added another run in the sixth when Gallo hit an RBI double to right center to send Hendrickson across the plate.

Notre Dame tacked on another run in both the sixth and seventh innings to close out the game.
