Men's Track & Field Finishes 10th at New Englands

AMHERST, Mass. - The Boston College men's track and field team finished in 10th place at the New England Championship this weekend at the University of Massachusetts.
The Eagles finished with a total of 29 points. Rhode Island ran away with the meet with a total of 103 points while UMass came in second with 80. UConn, New Hampshire and UMass Lowell rounded out the top five.
Eleven of BC's points came in the 1500m. Senior Timothy Ritchie finished third in the event with a time of 3:51.17 while sophomore Ian Thomas finished right behind him at 3:52.71.
The 4x100m relay team finished sixth by crossing the line in 42.40 while the 4x800m relay team earned a fifth-place finish with a time of 7:43.51.
Sophomore Mark Domaracki picked up a sixth-place finish in the 400m dash with a time of 8.59.
The men will compete in the IC4A Championships next weekend hosted by Princeton as well as the Georgia Tech Invitational.
