Women's Track & Field Takes Fifth at Snowflake Classic

MEDFORD, Mass. - The Boston College women's track and field team finished fifth at the Snowflake Classic hosted by Tufts on Saturday.
Boston University won the event with a total of 181 points while Tufts came in second with 149.50. Bates took third with 98 points while RPI had 77.50. BC finished with a total of 60 points.
Five different Eagles earned second place finishes on the day. Junior Amy Bernier finished second in the 800m at 2:24.97 and senior Medena Knespl ran a 4:53.75 in the 1500m to finish second as well. Junior Taylor Meyer took seventh in the event at 4:59.53.
Freshman Georgette Asfoura finished second in the long jump with a mark of 1.60m and freshman Emily Cornelius cleared 3.20m in the pole vault for second place.
Junior Melissa Hadfield finished second in the long jump with a leap of 5.38m and junior Caitlin McCann took fourth in the triple jump with a time of 10.67m. Freshman Casey Hsiung took fifth in the 400m dash with a time of 1:02.16. Senior Kara Musso finished seventh in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:09.49.
