Bailey Completes Indoor Season at NCAA Championship

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Junior Caitlin Bailey wrapped up her indoor season by competing in the NCAA Division I Indoor Championship on March 13-14 at McFerrin Complex on the campus of Texas A&M.
Bailey qualified for the event in the 800m and finished in ninth place in the prelims with a time of 2:05.67. That time put her in ninth place which was just one spot away from qualifying for the final. She was less than a second off the eighth-place finisher.
Bailey's time, along with the eight runners in front of her, beat the previous facility record at McFerrin Complex of 2:05.71 set in January.
Bailey's indoor season was an impressive one in which she earned ACC and ECAC titles in the 800m. Her ECAC time of 2:04.66 set a new Boston College record and she was named the Most Outstanding Performer of the event for her efforts.
