
Men's Soccer Earns 2-1 Win At Holy Cross

Sophomores Patrick Chin and Edvin Worley scored second-half goals just more than six minutes apart to lift Boston College to a 2-1 non-conference victory over Holy Cross before 322 fans in Worcester, Mass. on Wednesday night.
Down one goal, Chin tied the score in the 74th minute on his first collegiate score. Worley notched the gamewinner in the 80th minute. The Jenson Beach, Fla., native also assisted on Chin's second-half score.
Junior goalkeeper Ayotunde Ogunbiyi registered his first BC start and tallied one save in the winning effort.
Holy Cross (3-10) scored its lone goal in the 13th minute on Jon Werth's second goal of the season.
BC (9-6) tallied a 16-7 edge in shots, including seven on the Holy Cross net, and freshman Charlie Rugg's scoring bid in the seventh minute hit the post.
Crusaders' goalkeeper Thomas Booth recorded five saves in the losing effort.
Next, BC, which has won each of its last four games, will play at Virginia on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m.
