Men's Track Takes Fourth At Dartmouth Relays

HANOVER, N.H. - The Boston College men's track team finished fourth at the Dartmouth Relays in its first event of 2009 at Leverone Field House. The 4x400m relay team took first in the event with a time of 3:27.28.
Boston College finished fourth behind Dartmouth which won the event with 114 points. UMass-Lowell took second and had 47 points while the University of Ottawa was right behind in third with 46 points. The Eagles finished with 34 points.
Senior Timothy Ritchie took sixth place in the mile with a time of 4:20.85. Sophomore Conor Shelly placed fourth in the high jump with a leap of 1.88m while senior Benjamin Kocarnik took second in the pole vault, clearing 4.42m.
Freshman Matt Adetula had a strong showing as he finished fourth in the long jump and triple jump with marks of 6.66m and 13.40m.
The men will compete in the Rhode Island Heptathlon Qualifier on January 15 and 16 before taking part in the Terrier Invitational on January 24.
