Baseball's Asselin Signs With Yankees

Boston College senior baseball player Nick Asselin has signed with the New York Yankees organization.
Asselin, a right-handed reliever, totaled team highs in appearances (24) and earned run average (3.22) this spring. The Bedford, N.H., resident registered 47 strikeouts and 18 walks in 44.2 innings pitched. Opponents recorded a .267 batting average in 172 plate appearances.
Reports indicate Asselin will begin playing rookie ball in the Yankees organization next week.
