BC Eliminated From 2008 ACC Softball Tournament

College Park, Md.-- Due to continued rain in the College Park area, Boston College's scheduled contest against the loser of the North Carolina/NC State game at the 2008 Atlantic Coast Conference Softball Championship has been cancelled. The game, originally slated for 5:30 p.m. will no longer be played.
With the wet weather, the Championship reverted back to single-elimination format, knocking out fourth-seeded Georgia Tech and No. 6 Boston College, who dropped their opening games on Thursday.

The new schedule for the remainder of the weekend is as follows:
Saturday, May 10 Semifinals #2 Virginia Tech vs. #3 Florida State - 2 p.m. #1 North Carolina vs. #5 NC State - 4:30 p.m.
Sunday, May 11 Championship Game Winner of #2/#3 vs. Winner of #1/#5 - Noon Game will be broadcast live on FSN South, SUN Sports, Comcast SportsNet and NESN.
