Women's Rowing Competes Against Radcliffe, Northeastern

BOSTON - The Boston College women's rowing team finished third in each of its five entries against Radcliffe and Northeastern on Saturday, March 25. Radcliffe took first place in four of the afternoon's five races on Boston's Charles River.
BC finished behind Radcliffe and Northeastern, respectively, in both varsity eight races and the first novice eight competition.
In the first varsity eight race, Radcliffe led the way, posting a time of 6 minutes 36.5 seconds. Northeastern finished the race in 6:42.0 while the Eagles crossed the finish line at 6:57.7.
Radcliffe (6:50.6) finished 0.8 seconds before Northeastern (6:51.4) in the second varsity eight race. BC posted a time of 7:18.5. In the varsity four competition, Northeastern took first place, finishing the race in 7:46.5. Radcliffe (7:56.3) and Boston College (8:31.0) followed the Huskies.
In the first novice eight race, Radcliffe (7:01.5) crossed the finish line exactly one second before Northeastern (7:02.5). BC posted a time of 7:28.5.
The Eagles return to action on Saturday, April 1 on Boston's Charles River. BC will square off with Buffalo, Dartmouth and Northeastern.
