Tulsa, Ok. - The Boston College softball team collected seven hits but left nine runners on base and was unable to score in a 3-0 loss to Eastern Illinois in Tulsa, Ok.
Amanda Klimczak got the start for BC and surrendered 3 runs on 8 hits in 3.2 innings. EIU first scored in the bottom of the second when Chelsy Ipala singled home Shea Lodes.
The Eagles left a runner in scoring position in four innings as they were unable to push anyone across. Eastern Illinois added two insurance runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to give the 3-0 final.
Savana Lloyd came on in relief of Klimczak and allowed no hits in 2.1 innings. BC is now 1-2 on the season.
The Eagles will finish off a doubleheader tonight against Tulsa at 6 p.m.
