Baseball Wins Fourth Straight

Kennesaw, Ga. - Freshman Eric Campbell belted a three-run homer in the top of the first inning and added another RBI during a six-run second inning to power the Eagles past St. Peter's College in Kennesaw, Ga. 13-7.
With two outs in the top of the first, Jett Ruiz reached on an infield single and Shawn McGill followed with a walk. Campbell then launched a three-run home run to give the Eagles an early advantage.
The hitting continued in the top of the second, when BC added six more runs, capped off by a Ryne Reynoso double that scored Ruiz and Johnny Ayers. Pete Frates would homer to lead off the third and by the end of the inning, the Eagles had taken a commanding 12-0 lead.
Freshman pitcher Michael Wanamaker was impressive in his first career start, throwing five scoreless innings of one-hit ball and striking out four to earn his second win of the season.
The Eagles lashed out 17 total hits, including six for extra bases. Frates went 3 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored, while Ruiz continued to produce offensively, adding a 2 for 4 performance and three runs scored. Seven Eagles collected multiple-hit games off Peacock pitching.
