Baseball To Begin Defense Of Beanpot Championship

The Boston College baseball team will begin the pursuit of its third consecutive Beanpot Championship when it takes on Northeastern on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at LeLacheur Park in Lowell, Mass. Harvard and Massachusetts will play in the other first-round matchup at 2 p.m.
The two winners will meet in the championship game on Thursday at Fenway Park at 5 p.m. The consolation game will also be at Fenway and will be a seven-inning game beginning at 2 p.m.
BC is 23-11 overall and 9-4 in the Big East. The Northeast's top-ranked team is led by seventh-year head coach Pete Hughes.
Ticket prices in Lowell will range from $3 to $5.
